AmTryke Wish List: How it works
It is important that a therapist first concludes that an AmTryke will indeed be a valuable therapeutic tool for a patient. If an individual is recommended for an AmTryke by a therapist, but is financially unable to purchase the tryke, that person will be placed on the AmTryke Wish List.
In order to be placed on the Wish List, the AMBUCS Resource Center must receive all three of the required forms, which include a completed request form, an assessment form signed by a therapist or doctor, and a waiver signed by the patient or their parents/guardians.
AMBUCS chapters in the nearest geographical location are then contacted to see if they would be able to sponsor that person's tryke. Families can help by requesting friends and family to make a donation toward the riders request.
